FULCRUM MNIBOT1, a new 3D printer for children

3D printing has become so simple it is accessible to the youngest. That’s my opinion, and last year I had the opportunity to test on my French Website Planete Numerique one of the first models of this kind, the Creality CR100.

This printer allowed to print small 3D models to boost the creativity of our cherubs without any risk because it was fully enclosed and without heating bed.

A Limited children’s 3D printer offer

There is limited competition in this segment of the 3D printer for children. We have Creality with the CR100, EasyThreed with the NANO ET4000 and IUSE with its IUSE mini.

Competitors on the Children 3D Printer market

So it’s good news to see a newcomer: this is FULCRUM with its MNIBOT1.0. I have only just discovered it in preorder at Gearbest without any price indication yet.

The MNIBOT1.0 is a 3D printer model with no assembly, ready to use out of the box. Unlike the Creality CR100, it features a small 2.4-inch touch screen for the main controls. The 3D models are stored on a microSD card.

The 3D printer FULCRUM MNIBOT1.0 can only print small models. Its printing area is 70mm*70mm. It is suitable for figurines, accessories, decoration objects, …
The benefit of small area of printout is that you will get a fast result without having to wait a whole day. The risk of detachment from the tray will also be very limited. It is indeed not heated to limit the risks.

The material to be used will therefore be PLA, the most common one.

The FULCRUM MNIBOT1.0 has a system for detecting the end of the filament and resuming after a power outage that no competitor offers.
The availability of a {{optional WIFI module}} is also mentioned.

Price and availability

I think the price will be around 130€ but I’ll update this news as soon as confirmed

We will be happy to hear your thoughts
